A Motherhood Manual

A Foundational Guide to Give Your Baby the Best Start, Support Bonding & Development, and Discover Your Own Motherhood Identity
It’s like a college 101 or kallah class, but for motherhood: an all-in-one online crash course to prepare you for the most important role of your life…

Because you shouldn’t have to learn on the job.
"The manual for your baby"

“Many people say 'babies don't come with a manual' BUT that's no longer true. Mushka's course is the baby manual every mother needs. Even if it's not your first baby!

When I became a mom, over a year ago I was searching for and seeking the information Mushka teaches in her course. She addresses the science, psychology and development of mom and baby.

It is so deep and wholesome. I feel so much more empowered, confident and validated as a mom. It is the best investment of your money and time, especially as a new mother!”

This can be your "after" story, too
As a mother of a toddler with baby #2 on the way, I wanted to learn more about what I can do during the crucial newborn and infant stage to help my child develop.

Mushka really delivered. Her clear, no judgment and empowering lessons were a breath of fresh air.

No guilt and no mom shaming—just all about empowering and educating mothers so we can make decisions based on research and evidence.

I have five children, have taken parenting courses and follow so many parenting accounts—and taking this course was an absolutely transformative experience. Every class delved so deeply into whatever the subject of the class was.

You gave practical real life examples and tips, and I learnt so much in so few classes. It clarified child development, the motherhood journey, age appropriate toys, safe environment and so much more. I definitely feel more confident and assured as a parent!

I'm so grateful to Mushka for shifting my whole perspective of motherhood. What Mushka teaches is so practical, realistic, and not guilt-inducing.

Mushka doesn't teach about parenting, she embraces the natural state of motherhood and how to tune in to yourself and your child in a very practical sense.

There's no list of rules, toys, bells, whistles to remember. Mushka instills a desire to learn and a mindset to truly connect.

This course is worth every penny and minute of your time. I highly recommend this course.

My baby is seven months old. I loved every lesson in this course and I found myself implementing the information and ideas because the presentation was practical and geared toward real life.

Your presentation is clear and covers a lot of ground. I listened to some of the recordings a few times because this is a course where every slide is presenting a fresh idea, not just repackaging a concept in multiple ways.

I found it very helpful and would gift this course to my friends or family members so that they can enjoy and benefit from these insights and parent joyfully.

Course alumni address all your concerns

You’ve got questions. Former students of this course have the answers.
In their own words, what they'd say to you if you asked...
"I'm interested, but I am not a first time mother. Will this course be worth it for me?"
  • Yes! Yes! Yes! Baruch Hashem on baby #3 and wish this course had existed before having my first. This is applicable and worth it for moms at any stage.

  • Yes! I am a mother already and have gained so much just learning and understanding about development.

  • Absolutely. I’m a 5th time mother, and learned so much.

  • Even if you're not a first time parent, each kid is different and it's never too late to learn. I may have experience but I'm a different parent than I was 10 years ago! There's always something else to learn, I can totally still take a parenting course.
"I've followed Mushka’s Instagram account (@MotheringMindset) or other Instagram accounts for a long time already.

What is in here that I can't just piece together myself from online, for free? Or can I just read books for free on my own?"
  • Practical presentation that makes implementing these ideas very realistic.

  • Instagram is basically a brochure and this is the full series of books!

  • You might get pieces of information here and there from Instagram, but when you take the course, you get in-depth explanations with a sequence that builds up into a foundation.

  • It will take so much time and a lot might not all be constructive or useful.

  • This is everything curated in perfect bite sized lessons. Definitely worth the investment.
"I have a related degree / I do a lot of reading / I'm super knowledgeable. Will I learn anything new?"
  • Yes! This course is presented so concisely, every session is like a highlight of minimally 3/4 books and every session is on a different concept.

  • It covers physical, emotional, psychological and practical aspects of motherhood. Have you heard it all?

  • This course is more than a compilation of resources… it’s a mindset that approaches motherhood in a very empowering way. I can guarantee that you will walk away with at least one idea that will resonate and make an impact.

  • If you care about science-based assertions, this course is perfect for you! It's backed up by evidence and provides background on trendy parenting approaches (like attachment parenting).

  • I consider myself well-read and a super involved parent. Mushka comes at it with a super interesting lens- I love how it's science based, but also obviously Torah based. I’ve taken a few parenting courses, and this one was unique.
"Is this course frum enough or based on Torah values?"

  • This course embodies the idea of true Torah Chinuch from (before) birth and embraces motherhood from Torah's perspective.

  • Yes! I loved the Chassidus tied in.

  • Definitely. A lot of insights based on Torah and Jewish values.  I felt that the course was in line with my values and goals.

"I don't have time or emotional space to actually do this."
  • The lessons are recorded and very pleasant to listen to, not heavy at all. You can listen to it like a podcast on the go! Super convenient.

  • I definitely don’t have time. I have listened to some classes (instead of watched). If it’s a priority, you find the time :)

  • I thought I didn't either, but I pushed myself to make the time and space and it was well worth it.
"I feel in touch with my baby and myself"

I signed up for Mushka’s course before having my first baby and I’m SO glad I did! I didn’t grow up with young siblings or nieces/nephews and I was always nervous about what motherhood would be like for me and if I’d feel equipped with a baby.

My baby is 5 weeks old now and the best way to describe how I feel is when my husband casually turned to me one day and asked, “How do you make it look so natural and know what you’re doing?”

Thanks to the course, I feel in touch with my own needs as a mom and the needs of my growing baby. I look forward to continuing to implement what I’ve learned.

FAQ

Technical questions, technical answers
  • How long do I have access for?
Unlimited time access to the course content, the bonus workshops, and the PDF guides (which are all printable). The Whatsapp group closes after 4 weeks together.
  • How do I access the course contents?
Upon completing your purchase, you will receive login information to the platform on which the course is hosted (Thrivecart.com). You can access it via desktop or mobile. Each week, an additional lesson will be released, with pre-recorded videos, lesson transcripts that you can read, and various supporting PDF documents.
  • My baby is older than a year, will I still learn something?
My first iteration of this course was specific to new mothers - only because I wanted them to learn all this from the beginning! I redesigned it now so that it is more foundational and includes examples of the concepts at older ages. You will absolutely gain no matter what age your child is. (Also, scroll down and see the review by Libby!)
  • Can I give this course as a gift?
Of course, and what a great idea! Send me an email at mushka@mymotheringmindset.com so I help you get the account set up for the gift recipient.
  • Do you have a promo code?
There is no discount or reduced pricing. I offer payment plans. There's also lots of free, valuable information in my Instagram account.

On a personal note, it's been my experience that we find the time and money for what we value. I encourage you to think of this as an investment into your own skillset as a soon-to-be or current mother.

Consider the time, hours and energy you put into obtaining your driver's license or training for work. Your role as a mother is the most important job you'll ever have, and you deserve to be prepared for it.

And your baby deserves the best version of yourself you can offer. If you've browsed or splurged on adorable outfits or nursery decor, have you considered spending the same on yourself?

Whether you buy my course or not, I want you to believe that you are worthy of investment.
  • What info is this course based on?
This course is my unique creation. It is a synthesis of many, many books (I stopped counting), hundreds of hours' worth of lectures and expert interviews, and my own 7+ years of experience applying these concepts with my own children, and 4 years sharing them with thousands of other moms online.

I use an interdisciplinary method combining the sciences of attachment, neuroscience, and developmental psychology intertwined with conscious practices, respectful theories and psychology… and all of it is aligned with Torah values and Chassidic insights. You will not find this content in any one book.
  • What are your qualifications?
I love that you’re asking, because it means that it’s important to you to be selective in what you consume. And you should be discriminatory in what information you take in and apply. I very much believe that there is no single person or book that is an expert on your own child. That’s why I teach you to find your own inner voice.

I have a Master's degree in Education and have taught a version of this as a psychology class at Sara Schenirer's undergraduate program. My official resume also includes several years as a high school principal and teacher in high school and all ages of elementary students.

I have extensive training and experience in creating curricula, and I’m particularly skilled at synthesizing information, distilling it into core concepts and guiding learners through it. (Basically, I’m an educator!)

I have implemented, in real life, Montessori principles for over 7 years now. So, been there and done that, with actual technical skills to help you through it, too.
  • I'm not motivated to just watch videos.
Me neither… so I did everything I could to make this interactive, without actually making it something that you need to schedule into your busy life and show up live for:

-Short videos (5-10 minutes each) which my students preferred over catching up on a long class recording.

-Weekly emails to check in on you

-Each chapter released weekly, to help you keep pace (reach out if you want to binge instead)
  • I have another question
I'm an open book! Come ask me over at Instagram or send me an email at mushka@mymotheringmindset.com. I also offer free 15 minute discovery calls if you prefer a phone conversation!

Real feedback from course students
It's not just information—
it's an experience
Here's what women just like you said:
I've been following Mushka for quite a while and have modeled my home quite a lot after hers.

I was hesitant if I was going to learn a lot from the course as we had been in contact via DM and WhatsApp before. Of course I sign up to everywhere that Mushka presents and of course I learnt a lot! :)

Aside from clearing out the mess of not learning about Montessori the proper way and putting it back neatly and practically, the emotional aspect of becoming a mother struck a chord. "Bouncing back" is so expected, it's hard to recognize on your own that you don't need to! Thank you Mushka for teaching me this vital lesson!

Gitty

Mother of 2

Having my first baby and being far from family was hard enough, I was overwhelmed. I was trying to figure things out and was wondering how to be the best mother for her. So many people were telling me to let the baby cry, not to hold her but that felt really wrong to me.

I tried looking up content online but couldn't find it. When I saw that Mushka was offering this course I jumped right in and it was so worth it!

I realized that my mother instinct was right and I am very happy to know that I'm trying my best to raise my daughter in the best way possible.

Bracha

New mother

While I was pregnant with my first baby, I saw all of this advice online about how I must parent my baby—but nothing was backed up by science. On top of that, some of the advice pushed me to ignore my intuition as a mother based on the premise that these methods “work for everyone else.”

I was skeptical. I decided to take Mushka’s course because her assertions were evidence-based and she was the first and only expert who said “you will learn what your baby needs.” All of the other courses made me distrust my gut because that’s how they could best sell something to me.

Now I take the time to listen and understand my baby and can see what he needs developmentally based on his age. That makes me more confident as a mother—not just in the relationship with my baby, but also with my husband and family who often have advice. When their feedback isn’t something I fully want to follow, I can move forward in how I know it’s best to parent my baby.

Suzy

Mother of 1

I was very undecided if I should buy the course as I don’t have a newborn, my toddler is past his first year of life, and I wasn’t sure I’ll benefit. After much deliberation I decided to jump in and hoped it would be a good investment for the future. I am so happy I did!!

The course is loaded with knowledge and information to help a new mother navigate that first year of baby’s life and beyond. A lot of the lessons were applicable to children of any age.

I am now expecting another baby and am so excited to go into this with a brain full of knowledge on everything necessary from healthy attachment to toys and milestones, and so much more.

Don’t be like me and wait till the last second, jump right in, it will be so worth it!!

On a personal note...
I believe that every new mother deserves to be equipped for the new job ahead of her.

A bride can take kallah classes, and an expectant mother can take a birthing class. But what happens after that, when you bring your baby home and actually have to raise him or her? Who prepares you for that?

Maybe you have a mother, sister or friend. Maybe they give you good advice… but maybe they don’t. Add to that the cacophony from social media and the pressure to look good and have a “good baby”, and moms can feel more overwhelmed than ever.

I’ve been exactly where you are now: wanting to do everything right and not knowing where to begin. Wanting to parent by-the-books while finding my own inner voice. Wanting to become my best mother self and not even knowing what that is.

Secretly fearing I would make a very bad mother, because I didn’t know what I was doing but seemed to be expected to just magically figure it all out - or follow advice that really didn’t sit well with me.

My wish is for young mothers to feel confident and empowered during these crucial early years so that they can make the best decisions for their babies and adjust to and really love their own motherhood roles.

You wouldn’t drive a car without studying for the license test, right? Being prepared and knowing what you’re doing is a game-changer for enjoying it. Kind of like not being freaked out to drive on the highway, but just enjoying the ride.

Our babies deserve it. We deserve it.

And I’d be honored to guide you along this journey.

See you on the inside,
Mushka
